 Note: this most likely also requires including a root certificate bundle
 (such as [http://curl.haxx.se/ca/cacert.pem the one built by cURL]), as it
 appears fsockopen and cURL [https://travis-
 ci.org/rmccue/Requests/jobs/10053025 don't share certificate bundles].
