 Perhaps you missed the earlier remarks about HTML5...
 1. Very few browsers currently exploit the HTML5 outline constructs.
 2. Currently ----NO---- screen readers or other assistive technology
 interpret the HTML5 outline constructs.

 There *IS* a point to going back to the old markup: making it accessible
 ... until user agents catch up.
