 Potentially boils down to the issue posted by rvoodoo in the linked
 support thread -

  in settings general, my blog url was http://www.rvoodoo.com

  my wordpress address was just rvoodoo.com
  (no www)

 In other words, mismatched URLs, probably leading to ineffective cookies.
