Comment:

 To be honest, I think this is one of those features that absolutely should
 not be in core. Plugins can [http://codex.wordpress.org/Embeds tap into
 oEmbed] and enable this much more easily (and securely). The built-in
 media detection shouldn't have to support ''every'' site out there — that
 would just add more bloat.

 Wikipedia deletes articles for a lack of importance; generally unimportant
 sites like movieclips.com should not be built into the core. It doesn't
 meet the same threshold of importance as something like Flickr, YouTube or
 Scribd.
