 I really agree with this and wish that commentmeta had been general
 purpose instead of specific.  I have use for linkmeta, termtaxonomymeta,
 termmeta, and termrelationshipmeta.  I'd propose get_object_meta(),
 update_object_meta() delete_object_meta().
