 Awesome! Glad to see the admin-side is already doing this.

 Is it possible for client-side output to use the same feature? I realize
 that theme development can be continuous (thus CSS and JS files can change
 from time to time) but with a built-in or referenced compressor, and
 accompanying cache files to serve to visitors to a website, would increase
 page speed and optimization. Obviously, rounding this out with gzip
 compression would be optimal.
