 +1 here as well.  I agree with Viper on the dragging being more intuitive.
 However, I'm also not a fan of having images upload to -1 by default.  I
 think that the base [gallery] tag should show everything by default (with
 no additional work), and that anything you DON'T want to show should need
 to be moved to a different group.

 I also think we should add an "Insert this gallery into post" button to
 each group.
