Comment:

 I don't think this is an issue as the display_name is stripped down quite
 heavily to ensure it is only a string AFAIK.

 In default filters we add strip_tags,trim,wp_filter_kses, and
 wp_special_chars to the pre_user_display_name hook.  This hook is used in
 wp_insert_user when creating or updating a user.
