 Thanks for the report and patch!

 For clarification to others: this pertains solely and specifically to the
 [https://make.wordpress.org/themes/handbook/ Themes Team's handbook]
 sidebar.

 The buttons were added as markup within a custom HTML widget. I updated
 the styles defined for them there. I disagreed with the styling proposed
 here and opted to match the styling used for these same buttons on the
 sidebar of the team's [https://make.wordpress.org/themes/ Make site].
