Comment (by metadelta):

It sounds like you're proposing some changes to the editing and logging
system for posts on WordPress. Let me summarize to make sure I understand
 correctly:

 1. When a post is edited, the system currently logs the name and time of
 the editor.
 2. If a moderator edits someone else's post, it should display as
"WordPress Moderation Team" instead of the individual moderator's name,
but only for logged-in users. Other moderators and administrators should
still see the individual moderator's name for accountability.
 3. Currently, there's a checkbox for "don't log edit," and you're
suggesting removing that checkbox and replacing it with an auto-checked
option to "log edit as anon."

Is that the gist of it? If so, it seems like a reasonable approach to
maintain accountability while also preserving the anonymity of moderation
 actions for regular users.
