 the surprise tomorrow?
 WordPress is GREAT. I have nothing but gratitude and respect for the
 creators and the administrators of this amazing ecosystem. But apparently
 there are too many surprises. Not sure what problem are those surprises
 supposed to solve.

 As far as active installs, it is not the end all. I probably would not pay
 a third party for it. But it is not bad, particularly if you have a low
 active install number. I like to see if people are leaving in droves and
 take action if I can help it. For larger numbers is not really useful.
