 I do not know the latest status on Slack & US embargoed countries, but
 assuming the ban has not been lifted, I would expect Slack to ban future
 users who access a Slack account from a country they are legally required
 to apply restrictions to.

 In the case of your account, I assume it was banned by Slack and marked as
 Deactivated as a result. It appears that this is likely the case, as
 WordPress Slack doesn't allow us to reactivate your account, where as any
 other deactivated accounts we can.
 If your account [https://slack.com/intl/en-au/blog/news/an-apology-and-an-
 update was mistakenly banned by Slack], contacting them with the details
 may result in them re-activating the account, if you're not currently
 restricted per their ToS.

 Please reach out to Slack directly to clarify if you wish. You may also
 contact slackinvitehelp [at] wordpress.org by email for any help directly
 with WordPress.org slack, if you contact Slack via email, you may CC that
 address.
