[theme-reviewers] Failed Theme Unit Test

Anyway, in relation to the theme unit test file, it appears when copied from the browser and pasted then saved into notepad, this could be causing the problem. In the past, I’ve generally done it this way but always ran into the failed problems and although I cannot confirm this is the problem, but it seems notepad corrupts the file somehow (at least for me). Perhaps the Theme Unit Test should be available as an actual downloadable xml file (maybe even as a zip file) rather than displaying it in a browser. Something to consider.

Hi Stephen….your method worked! I did not encounter a single failed notice. The one thing I did change, I created a new xml file in Dreamweaver instead of a browser, and pasted the code into my blank xml file in DW. I saved it then imported it. Thanks everyone.

The issue is the way it is being parsed. When I had the issue, it was only if I copied the text into a new file and saved it as xml. If I uploaded that file it wouldn't parse correctly.

also check your database privileges for current user, if no solution worked try to reset everything! always work :D

No go…tried 3 times now. Takes about 30 seconds to do its import but starts off with a set of about 30 of these within 1 second:

“Failed to import post tag”

Then when it completes the import, it loads the rest of the failed notices.

Some added info: I’m on XAMPP, the latest version on my local computer.

This seems to happen a lot and thinking there needs to be a theme test unit for the theme test unit :P

Anyway, I am putting together another theme to upload but I need a fully working theme test.
