[theme-reviewers] Grandfather Themes?

Here's my 2 cents.

Whether themes are created today or 2 years ago, its always good to practice to do things the right way.

Regarding some features from old themes, it can definitely be released as a plugin. And no matter what the argument, if a user is capable enough to setup a WordPress site and install a theme, they can very well install another plugin too.
