So have you actually used aria-haspopup? Without writing a menu walker?

It is interesting in a way - the core WP admin menu generator adds
aira-haspopup. Seems like that should be an option for the args to
wp_nav_menu, too.

But using a simple filter on wp_nav_menu and adding aria-haspopup="true" to
menu items with sub-menus, it really breaks the menus on the tablet
simulator. Different behavior than without, but still broken.

And by the way, my user with a tablet confirmed that Twenty Thirteen does
not work on WinRT/IE10 on a tablet.
