The current code doesn't have a way to provide a line number, it just
looks to see if the "\<\?[^p]" pattern exists in a PHP file.

Perhaps we should have a write up in the codex some where about how to
check for PHP short tags on various systems/software (as much as I
like grep I realize that not everyone uses it).  Then the error
message could link to that article.
