[wp-hackers] Was ping services broken in 1.2.1?

Hello, I just noticed that when I create a new post, my WP install is
not pinging ping-o-matic. It is entered in the options->writings as
http://rpc.pingomatic.com/. I was planning on upgrading to v1.2.2
later this week, but was this a known issue with 1.2.1?
