I totally agree. I don't think most average users really care about the
dev feed *that* much -- or at least for the amount of real estate it
takes up. If anything, I think the "Latest Activity" and whatever else
that is related to the *users* blog should be the main focus with the
dev feed (or more preferably, some kind of high-importance feed like
Owen said) being in the area where "Latest Activity" is currently.
And having the whole dashboard pluggable would totally rock. For
example, say the advanced stats plugin also had the option to display
stats in the dashboard or Spam Karma told you how many spam comments
its killed, etc. That would seem to make the most sense to me, keeping
with the idea of having plugins to add (or remove ( *ahem*
no-nofollow)) functionality .
