[wp-hackers] next_post and previous_post

OK, I figured it out once, but then lost my changes in an upgrade. 
How do you add a second "the loop" ?

you have to use next_post() and previous_post() within the loop.  This
has also annoyed me, as I was able to use it outside the loop in 1.2

The solution that I've used is to enclose the functions in another
"the loop" (which I suppose is no longer "the loop," now that there
are two of them).
