I agree, that's the reason that I have a separate blog for WP
development, and create a category for each plugin, and link to the
category. So that way new release posts are at the top, for someone that
is looking for an upgrade, and the link is never out of date (like a
link to a post could be) and they get to poke around on my site.

I mean you even see the donate link on sourceforge pages!
