Would be a good excuse to do some WordPress/MagpieRSS integration!  They 
work really well together.  I have MagpieRSS fetch the title and link of 
the latest entry for each post on my blogroll and then I sort by most 
recent update and display a link to that entry.  http://txfx.net/
