[bbDev] bbPress replies never stop "processing data"

hey all

i have a weird bug where i try to reply to a topic and 
when i hit the 'send post' button in topic.php, i get the
message "Processing Data..." and that's it.

nothing gets refreshed. nothing changes. the "Processing
data" message just sits there forever.  if i do a hard 
refresh of the page, the reply has indeed been inserted.

anyone have any clues as to what may be causing this 
behaviour?
