 Solution for this is to downgrade to 6.2.2 then update the wordpress to
 latest.
 You downgrade by deleting both wp-admin and wp-includes. And use the
 archive files of 6.2.2 and drop them into the root of website. Then
 upgrade through normal upgrade procedure while logged in on site.

 I used PHP 7.4 and didn't try with php 8.0. I believe different errors
 occur by both versions. The upgrade fixes some database errors or linking
 problems.
