 That update destroyed my WordPress project. There are 2 problems
 introduced. First, the shortcode element doesn't work in the block theme
 (so what is its purpose now, anyway?). Second, my plugin generated output
 with shortcodes inside (so they were nested) and this also stopped
 working.

 While I can change the plugin to do its job without these nested
 shortcodes, having no possibility to add a shortcode on the main page is a
 big problem.

 I used the workaround from post 7 to restore the functionality.
