 Now that this is fixed (since WordPress 6.2 update) I wonder if there is
 any way to get the Twemojis back, because they did look much better on
 some of my sites.

 Would it be technically possible to add a switch for choosing Twemojis to
 be shown in WordPress front- and backend again?
