Comment(by nacin):

 We have decreased the package size by 7.5% since this ticket opened. That
 puts us at 2.79 MB, from 3.01 MB. (On disk, I'm seeing 2.9MB vs 3.2MB.)
 That's still a 14% increase over version 2.9-latest, however. Good
 progress.

 We'll fix the import stuff.
