"Dropping support?"  Nobody's planning on turning off all previous releases
of WordPress, right?  Nobody's suggesting that critical fixes wouldn't
continue to be made to the last PHP4-compatible release, right?

If WordPress is a "Friend of PHP" and we're still waffling on supporting a
3-year-old version, I'm starting to think we're all going to need to learn
Ruby soon.
