How apropos :) http://bbpress.automattic.com/changeset/172
Speaking of feeds, can people make sure 304 Not Modified headers are
being sent out correctly?

Good call. Could you submit a ticket? http://bbpress.automattic.com/

How would you use such a feature? I'm not asking pointedly, but only
to figure out the sorts of scenarios in which xml-rpc would get used.

MultiViews can be set in .htaccess files unless your host is
specifically preventing you from doing so. I'm very ignorant on
hosting practices; I have no idea if hosts typically do or don't
prevent the use of the MultiViews option. To try it out, put the
following in your .htaccess.

Options +MultiViews

mod_rewrite will be supported if it turns out it's the best way to
make pretty links work. bbPress will need unleashing on more hosts,
though, before we know what all the pitfalls are of the current
implementation (a general statement). Actually, the URLs aren't
terribly involved; someone with a little rewrite-fu could write up a
static set of rules.
