 It appears that the 2.6.2 update never got applied to th3 2.6 branch.
 Running the 2.6.3 out of the 2.6 branch gives us this error:

 Warning: main(/home/xxx/public_html/wp-includes/wpmu-default-filters.php)
 [function.main]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in
 /home/xxx/public_html/wp-settings.php on line 298

 The wpmu-default-filters.php file does not appear in the 2.6 branch
 currently.  It was added in the following changeset

 [1504]

 That changeset was never applied to the 2.6 branch but the 2.6.3 upgrade
 requires it.

 Adding high priority and severity as we have broken installs without
 applying that missing changeset which does fix the issue.
