 GitHub repository.

 [https://github.com/WordPress/pattern-directory/issues/735 735] reported a
 different error message that was fixed last week, so your error might be
 new since then. If you still experience the problem, please add the error
 text in the new issue's description:
 > Updating failed. Sorry, you are not allowed to edit the
 jetpack_post_was_ever_published custom field.

 (It might be related to a
 [https://github.com/Automattic/jetpack/issues/39911 Jetpack issue] too,
 but I recommend starting in the Pattern Directory.)
