Comment:

 I'm really happy with how quickly this upgrade came together, thanks to
 the assists from Gemini and Copilot. This is ready for review. I've done
 initial smoke tests to confirm the syntax highlighting and linting
 continues to work as expected in the current core surfaces: theme/plugin
 file editors, Additional CSS in Customizer, and Custom HTML widget
 (legacy).
