 I worry that this proposed patch essentially forcec fixing #8107 onto
 sites that filter `get_{$adjacent}_post_where` since that could be
 unexpected especially in light of this not being a widespread reported
 issue.

 As of today, https://make.wordpress.org/core/2025/12/10/adjacent-post-
 navigation-changes-in-wordpress-6-9-and-compatibility-issues/ has not had
 any comments, the two mentioned in
 https://github.com/woocommerce/woocommerce/issues/62233 have been updated,
 and
 https://www.reddit.com/r/Wordpress/comments/1pd35y4/wordpress_69_is_causing_permanent_100_cpu_usage/
 hasn't had any new comments in a month.

 @jmdodd - Do you have any idea how prevelent this issue is on your
 platform? Is it only people using outdated themes at this point?
