Comment:

 Per @spacedmonkey, this should leverage post meta lazy loading: #57496.
 Since that ticket is milestoned for future release, and this ticket was
 tagged as `early` but it isn't early anymore, I'm going to punt this also
 to future release.

 We can re-milestone to 7.0 if post meta lazy loading happens to land in
 7.0.
