 Tested the word count using both the classic editor and the block editor
 for the following cases:

 === Actual Results
 1. ❌ Patch did not change word count for the given scenarios for both
 classic and block editor.
 2. Also, it isn't clear what the word counts should be after applying
 patch.
 2. The word count differences I found between classic and block editor are
 as follows:

 Before applying patch:

 Individual Numbers (1, 5)
 - Classic editor: 0
 - Block editor: 2

 Compound number ($4.99)
 - Classic editor: 0
 - Block editor: 1
