Comment:

 Tested against trunk (7.0-alpha-61215-src).

 Attempted to apply the latest patch using `grunt patch:41362`, but it no
 longer applies cleanly and produces rejected hunks in wp-
 includes/template.php.

 As this is an enhancement and the patch is quite old, it likely needs a
 refresh to match current trunk before it can be tested.

 Requesting reporter/component maintainer feedback on whether this
 enhancement is still relevant.
