Comment:

 Apologies for how long this reply has been; however, I just tried this
 within the block editor, and I can add bold to multiple text lines. With
 this in mind, I will move this ticket to 'Closed' with a status of 'Works
 for me'.

 If you have further insights into this, and we continue not to work, we
 can always reconsider that status. Thank you for your report. I hope this
 issue is also resolved for you.
