Comment:

 Confirmed that this is indeed fixed and can be marked as closed.

 The original issue of case-insensitive paths returning a 404 has been
 fixed in some other ticket at some point, and now they resolve a page
 matching the behaviour of posts and categories. The canonical URLs in the
 HTML head are correctly referencing the canonical lower-case version of
 post slug.
