 The most significant problem I see here is that there is no longer a
 distinction between labels and descriptive text near labels.

 I'm not sure that readability is the most important question here; it's
 whether the labels stand out appropriately as distinct from surrounding
 context. As long as the text meets the same criteria as body text in the
 admin, then it should be readable; but it also should be distinguishable
 from non-label text.
