 There's an issue report related to this change -
 https://github.com/WordPress/gutenberg/issues/68605.

 Since this was already backported, should we re-open the ticket and handle
 the issue directly on Trac?

 P.S. Debugging details point to a method merged in WP 6.6 -
 `remove_serialized_parent_block`.
