 * milestone:  6.8 => Future Release


Comment:

 As I don't have any sponsored time to move this forward, including the
 open issues on that repo, and there's been no time allocated (AFAIK) for
 the plugins team to improve the closure situations, merging this in 6.8 is
 not viable.

 Prior to merge, this will need further work on WordPress.org & in the
 plugin team processes. Particularly around Security closures.
