Comment:

 @acmoifr The issue still has to be fixed in WordPress core for everyone.

 The supplied small plugin is only a quick workaround as temporary solution
 for Firefox ESR 115 and probably also older Safari browser users who
 currently can not use WordPress 6.9.x admin area any more and somehow find
 this thread.

 A proper patch would be removing the alt syntax as suggested also above by
 @wildworks
