 I ran into a similar issue while cleaning up some old ID-handling logic on
 my own setup over at http://skelliewag.org/
 , and tightening the checks made a noticeable difference. Making sure
 get_userdata() doesn’t fall back to user 1 on garbage input is definitely
 the right direction, even small inconsistencies can lead to confusing
 behavior later.
