 I've created a [https://github.com/WordPress/wordpress-develop/pull/7135
 pull request] with some additional locations that it would be good to be
 sure the version number is correct:

 * upgrade data sent to the API
 * caching functions
 * block theme exporter
 * wpdb

 Anything further can be done in future releases.
