 @thekt12 @joemcgill @pereirinha I put together my
 [https://github.com/WordPress/wordpress-develop/pull/6707 PR] for this. It
 add some performance improvements and logic improves. I am seeing some
 improves. It reduced the calls to str_starts_with from 9k down to 3k.

 Can one of you run some profiles and see if this is a real improvement.
