 @rajinsharwar thanks for testing. I've added your test to that PR now.
 Granted, that PR still relies on the anonymous class, and I'm not sure
 everyone will be happy with that.

 on my task list for 6.7 is adding `set_modifiable_text( $new_text_content
 )` to the Tag Processor, so we should be able to update this patch after
 that's in and get rid of the complicated bits.
