 I'd prefer to be firmer with those deadlines— to have a **ready-to-build
 design by the 21st**, so that there's time to build & commit it by the
 26th (so that I don't hold up the beta). We can iterate on it once it's in
 code, and we'll probably get more feedback during beta 3 anyway.

 This is true, but I'd rather the initial commit happen in beta3. We can
 make content & layout tweaks until RC1 (things that change strings), and
 usually commit the final images during the RC cycle.
