Comment:

 The [https://wordpress.org/documentation/article/twenty-sixteen
 /#overhanging-full-size-image Overhanging Full-Size Image] is a design
 feature of Twenty Sixteen, and even the theme's screenshot shows it.

 This was intentional and not something to change now.
