 @galbaras : I might not be the best person to ask for a plugin (especially
 since my plugin got closed from the repo because it didn't follow the new
 coding rules after a security issue, leaving my users open to security
 risk because the update got refused ...).
 However, leaving that aside: the cron thing has been bugging me for years.
 While I don't know how to write a plugin that rewrites core functionality,
 I could try a "dirty" POC. cron.php is not that big a thing, rewriting it
 shouldn't be that hard.
