Comment:

 I tend to agree with you @poena that for this solution not solving in the
 theme would also be my recommendation for the reason of leading to losing
 part of the design which should be avoided. With that in mind, I am going
 to close this for now. We can always reopen if this works better for
 others later. Thank you everyone.
