 I am retesting this on WordPress 6.7.1, theme version 1.9.
 I believe this is a problem with the usability of the excerpt block, not
 the theme.

 Unfortunately the images were not uploaded to the ticket, and the images
 are now deleted from the provided links.

 Looking at the homepage template, the theme does not have a "continue
 reading button".
 It uses the excerpt block.
 The excerpt block has an option to add a read more link. In this theme,
 this option is not enabled, the user must enable it if they want the link
 to show.

 This is done by selecting the block on the home template, selecting the
 read more link option, and typing in the link text: For example "Continue
 reading".
 After saving this change, the Continue reading link works and shows both
 in the editor and on the front.

 Because of this, I am going to close this issue.
 If someone is able to provide more information and testing instructions,
 the ticket can be re-opened.
